Today, FSPers put their learning to the test. Over the past week, we’ve been working on improving our ability to identify the many bird species of these wetlands. While on the river today, we had the unique opportunity to see a wide variety of birds up close–from vultures to storks, spoonbills to flycatchers. With binoculars at the ready, we found ourselves finding birds we hadn’t seen yet and recognizing birds we have. Couldn’t have asked for a better study session for our vertebrate quiz tomorrow!
